Import ban on luxury/non-essential goods to Pakistan

Dear valued client,

As of May 19, Pakistan’s Ministry of Commerce for Imports and Exports, imposed a temporary ban on the import of luxury and non-essential items to Pakistan.

This ban by the Federal government is introduced in a bid to stabilize economy. The Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting has stated that the measures have been taken to save critical foreign exchange reserves for next two months. The final duration of the ban is not confirmed yet.
