Current Situation Red Sea

Dear valued customer,

Please be informed that carriers are avoiding the Red Sea due to recent escalated developments. This decision has significant consequences. The Suez Canal, the primary transit route between Europe and Asia, can only be accessed through the Red Sea.

The alternative to the Suez Canal is to sail around the African continent via the Cape of Good Hope. However, this route takes an additional ten days. We will closely monitor ETAs and transits and send updates if necessary.

Rates are already being impacted, with carriers starting to communicate increases that are in addition to the recent and upcoming GRI’s, in some cases these may be implemented by way of Emergency Surcharges.
